Pre-Listing/Seller’s Inspection

Listing your home without getting it inspected first can lead to many issues, including a long sales process and bids that are significantly lower than the asking price. This happens because uninformed sellers are unable to proactively repair or disclose problems that may devalue the property in the eyes of most buyers. Save yourself a lot of time and trouble by discovering your home’s most undesirable qualities before you try to sell it. Once you’re armed with this knowledge, you can take the proper steps to make your home more enticing for buyers.

Radon Testing

Massachusetts has a much higher risk of radon exposure than the national average of 7%. In fact, the Massachusetts Environmental Public Health Tracking reports that 25% of homes within the state are at risk for higher than acceptable levels of this odorless, tasteless, invisible toxin. Radon exposure is second only to smoking in terms of causing lung cancer-related deaths. Find out if your new home is contaminated with radon by signing up for this add-on inspection service.

We provide two radon tests:

  • Radon in Air Measurement Using a Continuous Radon Monitor
  • Radon in Water Test

Water Testing

Our Water Purity Testing service is available for well water and municipal water sources. We will collect a sample of the water and test it for harmful bacteria and pathogens. If any issues are found, we’ll let you know so that you can work with a professional to remedy the problem. Keep in mind that contaminated water can be very detrimental for your health; avoid future issues by getting your water tested on a regular basis.

Wood Destroying Insect Inspections

Wood-destroying insects can cause thousands of dollars in damages, but you’re unlikely to notice them before much of the harm has already been done. That’s why it’s wise for every homebuyer and owner to get periodic WDI inspections. We’re able to locate the early signs of an infestation. If any WDI is trying to turn your home into their next nest, you’ll be able to take action right away to minimize the damage.

Swimming Pool and Spa Inspection

Many buyers love to get a pool or a spa as part of a new home purchase. However, there are many things that can go wrong with these leisurely additions. For example, problems with the deck, surface, or pump system could end up being so expensive that the pool or spa becomes undesirable. Find out before you buy your next home if the pool or spa is an exciting bonus or a money pit.

Landscape Irrigation Systems

A Landscape Irrigation System inspection is a must if one of these systems is currently on the property. When they’re working properly, they’re a big perk that will help you properly maintain the landscape. If there’s an existing problem, though, you could experience flooding and other unwelcome challenges. We’ll inspect the entire system to let you know if it’s ready to be used.
